Defence Minister Stresses Strategic Management for National Security

The Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, underscored the critical importance of strategic defence management for Nigeria. 

Speaking during a lecture at the National Defence College in Abuja, Abubakar highlighted the necessity of a comprehensive approach to defence management in safeguarding national interests and ensuring citizen well-being.

In his address, the Minister detailed that effective defence management involves diverse strategies aimed at protecting the nation's core values. 

He emphasized the need for a thematic approach encompassing planning, policy formulation, military strategy implementation, and resource management.

Abubakar pointed out that the success of defence management hinges on several factors, including strong leadership, clear communication, integrated planning, and the ability to adapt flexibly to changing circumstances.

The Minister commended the organizers of the lecture and expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his steadfast support of the nation's defence initiatives, as articulated in the Renewed Hope Agenda. 

The Minister concluded by noting that robust defence management is a collective effort that requires the support of both the government and key stakeholders.
