Diplomatic Talks: Nigeria's Defence Minister Meets Equatorial Guinea's Vice President

The Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, accompanied President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on an official visit to Equatorial Guinea. During the visit, the Minister, as part of the President's entourage, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue.


The meeting took place at the Peace Presidential Palace in Malabo, where the Minister and the Vice President engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. 


The visit underscores the commitment of both nations to enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in defense and security.


The Defence Minister's presence in the delegation highlighted the importance of defense and security in the ongoing diplomatic efforts between the two countries. 


The discussions at the Peace Presidential Palace are expected to further solidify the ties between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea, fostering peace and stability in the region.
