Minister of Defence Offers Support to Jigawa State Amid Devastating Floods

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, paid a visit to Jigawa State to express his condolences to the Governor and the people of the state following the devastating floods that recently struck the region, resulting in significant loss of life and property.


During his visit, the Minister expressed deep sympathy for the affected communities and, in a gesture of support, personally donated N20 million on behalf of himself and his family to aid the state's relief efforts.


Additionally, the Minister delivered a special message from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, extending the President's condolences to the people and government of Jigawa State. The President also reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to supporting the state during this difficult time.


Accompanied by friends and well-wishers, the Minister was warmly received at the Government House in Dutse by Governor Malam Umar A Namadi FCA. 


Minister Badaru commended the Governor for his swift and effective response to the flood crisis, praising his leadership in providing timely relief to the victims.


This visit underscored the strong connection between Minister Badaru Abubakar and the people of Jigawa State, reaffirming his continued commitment to their well-being.
