PERMANENT SECRETARY INAUGURATES CORE TEAMS FOR PMS AND ECM SYSTEMS

...Assures Ministry’s capability to implement systems effectively

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, has officially launched the Project Steering Committee and Project Implementation Technical Team for the Performance Management System PMS and Enterprise Content Management ECM. These initiatives aim to enhance operational efficiency within the Ministry.


During the inauguration event at the Ministry's headquarters in Abuja, Dr. Kana expressed confidence in the Ministry's existing infrastructure and skilled personnel, emphasizing their ability to ensure the successful implementation of both systems.


"We are fortunate to have experts within the Ministry capable of driving these processes," Dr. Kana remarked. 


He further highlighted that Directors and Deputy Directors from various departments possess the necessary expertise to facilitate the successful integration of the systems across all staff levels.


Dr. Kana urged the Ministry’s PMS Champions to demonstrate strong dedication and strive for excellence in improving service delivery and achieving the Ministry’s goals in alignment with the government's renewed hope agenda.


Acknowledging potential initial setbacks, he encouraged the team to remain resilient in overcoming challenges during the early stages of the rollout, while also stressing the importance of ongoing training.


He concluded by underscoring the critical role of the PMS and ECM Champions in promoting efficiency, productivity, and accountability within the Ministry, with the ultimate objective of meeting the government’s performance standards.
