Nigerian Military Takes Down Terror Enclaves

In a continued effort to eliminate terrorist threats and restore peace, the Nigerian Armed Forces have stepped up operations against insurgent groups across the nation.
According to Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, the air component of Operation HADIN KAI successfully carried out precise airstrikes on terrorist positions at Kwallaram and Arainna Ciki islands in Borno State, delivering substantial damage to enemy encampments.
Coordinated airstrikes by the Nigerian Air Force, coupled with extensive ground maneuvers by military forces, have disrupted terrorist strongholds and neutralized numerous fighters.
He stated that over the past week, military operations have resulted in the neutralization of 169 insurgents and the arrest of 641 individuals. In addition, security forces apprehended 40 suspects involved in oil theft and safely rescued 181 hostages from captivity.
He said, that in the Niger Delta region, military personnel intensified their crackdown on illegal oil activities.
"Troops dismantled 20 crude oil cooking ovens, destroyed 42 boats, seven reservoirs, five drums, 50 storage tanks, and uncovered 83 sites linked to illegal refining.
Additionally, authorities seized approximately 914,445 liters of stolen crude oil, 537,325 liters of illegally refined diesel, and 1,285 liters of petrol.
