Bida Local Government Renames Road in Honor of Dr. Mohammed K. Santuraki

The Bida Local Government Council has officially renamed the prominent Model School Road in Bida GRA as Mohammed K. Santuraki Crescent in recognition of Dr. Mohammed K. Santuraki’s contributions to the development of Bida, Niger State, and Nigeria.

Dr. Santuraki, the Santurakin Nupe, is a distinguished leader known for his service in governance, education, and national development. A former Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture, he has played key roles at both state and federal levels.

The statement  emphasized that he previously served as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of IBB University, Lapai (Niger State University), and was instrumental as Chairman of the Bago/Garba Gubernatorial Inauguration Committee in 2023.

The Chairman of Bida Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Bala Shaba, praised Dr. Santuraki for his unwavering commitment to good governance and community development.

He commended his leadership, particularly as the driving force behind the Niger-South Senior Stakeholders Forum.

"This renaming is a testament to Dr. Santuraki’s lifelong dedication to the progress of our people. His leadership, vision, and service continue to inspire many, and we are proud to write his name into the fabric of Bida’s history," Shaba stated.

The honor reflects the deep appreciation of the people of Bida for Dr. Santuraki’s lasting impact and his role in shaping the future of Niger State.
