Hon. Lami Danladi Ogenyi Concludes Three-Day Traditional Celebration in Agila Ado

The Deputy Speaker of the Benue State Assembly, Hon. Lami Danladi Ogenyi, concluded a three-day celebration honoring the second burial of her father, a revered elder in the Agila Ado local government area. 


The event which took place at home town was marked by a series of traditional ceremonies, cultural performances, and a strong show of political solidarity from constituents.


The celebration commenced with a grand procession through the streets of Agila Ado, where community members adorned in traditional attire came together to pay their respects. 

Additionally, the atmosphere was electric, filled with the sounds of traditional music, drumming, and the rhythmic movements of dancers showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Idoma people. The procession culminated at the family compound, where a series of rituals were performed to honor the memory of the late elder.


On the second day, a special ceremony was held to honor the contributions of the late elder to the community. Local leaders and dignitaries spoke fondly of his legacy, emphasizing his role in fostering peace and development in Agila Ado. 


Hon. Ogenyi, visibly moved, expressed her gratitude to everyone who came to celebrate her father's life and legacy. She highlighted the importance of remembering and honoring those who have paved the way for future generations.

Hon. Ogenyi also assured her constituents of her unwavering commitment to their welfare and development.

The final day of the celebration featured a grand feast, where traditional dishes were served, allowing attendees to indulge in the flavors of the region. The communal dining experience fostered a sense of togetherness, as families and friends gathered to share stories and reminisce about the late elder's impact on their lives. 


The three-day event was a resounding success, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Agila Ado while also serving as a platform for political engagement and community support. 


Hon. Ogenyi's commitment to her constituents was evident throughout the celebration, as she actively engaged with attendees, listened to their concerns, and shared her vision for the future of the community.
