In a renewed effort to strengthen synergy among security and emergency response agencies, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Security Spokespersons Forum has held a strategic meeting aimed at improving communication, coordination, and public engagement across the Territory.

The meeting, which took place at the Federal Fire Service FCT Command Headquarters in Kubwa, Abuja, brought together spokespersons and Public Relations Officers from various security and response agencies operating within the FCT.

According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, participants underscored the critical role of effective communication and timely information sharing in enhancing operational efficiency and public confidence.

They agreed that a unified communication approach would not only foster inter-agency cooperation but also promote accurate and timely dissemination of information to the public, particularly during emergencies and security operations.

The meeting had in attendance representatives from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, and the Federal Fire Service FCT Command, among others.

At the end of deliberations, members resolved to deepen their collaboration beyond meetings through joint trainings, coordinated public enlightenment campaigns, and continuous engagement to ensure a safer, more secure, and better-informed Federal Capital Territory.
