South Africa Set historic after defeating South Korea ahead of Round Of 32 Clash with Canada

Astonishing and thrilling performance from the Bafana Bafana of South Africa who made history and booked a ticket in the FIFA World Cup knockout stage for the first time after defeating South Korea 1-0 in their final Group A match at Monterrey Stadium on Tuesday, 2026.

Despite missing several attempts in the game, a second-half strike from Thapelo Maseko gave the Bafana Bafana a productive result as well as disciplined and determined performance to finish second in the group behind co-hosts Mexico.
