BREAKING: 68 Passengers Escape Unhurt as Enugu Airlines Plane Crash-Lands at Benin Airport

No fewer than 68 passengers escaped unhurt on Thursday after an Enugu Airlines aircraft crash-landed at the Benin Airport in Edo State.
The aircraft, with registration number 5N-ENR, was operating an Enugu-Benin-Lagos commercial flight when the incident occurred.
Sources at the airport disclosed that the aircraft overshot the runway during landing and veered into the nearby bush, triggering an emergency response by aviation authorities.
A source at the Benin Airport, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said personnel of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) responded promptly to the incident and safely evacuated all passengers from the aircraft.
According to the source, no lives were lost and no injuries were recorded despite the frightening incident.
"The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria immediately swung into action, and all the passengers were evacuated. No casualty was recorded," the source said.
While it was confirmed that 68 passengers were on board, the exact number of crew members could not be immediately ascertained.
The cause of the incident has yet to be officially determined, and aviation authorities are expected to commence investigations into the circumstances surrounding the runway excursion.
