Peggy Ovire Announces Finalisation of Divorce from Frederick Leonard

Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has announced that her divorce from fellow actor Frederick Leonard has been finalised, expressing gratitude to God over the outcome.

The actress disclosed the development on her Instagram Story, where she posted a brief message celebrating the conclusion of the legal process.

"Thank you, Jesus. It is done," she wrote.

In a separate post, Peggy reposted a congratulatory message from actress Angela Eguavoen, who celebrated the development, writing: "My queen is free!! Hallelujah."

The announcement comes weeks after Peggy publicly accused Leonard of deliberately delaying the divorce proceedings despite being the one who initiated the separation.

She alleged that although Leonard requested the divorce, he repeatedly failed to appear in court after being served with the necessary legal documents.

Peggy had also accused her estranged husband of being involved in a relationship with a married woman who has children. To support her claims, she shared a video purportedly showing Leonard and the woman together at an event hosted by comedian Funny Bone, describing their conduct as inappropriate.

The actress had further urged Leonard to honour their scheduled appearance before the customary court on June 23, accusing him of avoiding the proceedings for a second time.

With her latest announcement, Peggy appears to have confirmed that the divorce process has now been concluded.
