Defence Minister Celebrates APC Chairman Yilwatda at 58

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.), has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday.


In a congratulatory message, the Minister described Yilwatda as a distinguished scholar, visionary administrator and dedicated statesman whose commitment to democratic governance and national development has remained exemplary.


Musa, who conveyed the goodwill on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Nigeria, commended the APC chairman for his leadership qualities, integrity and commitment to national service.


He said, “On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Nigeria, I celebrate an exceptional patriotic leader, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, as he marks his 58th birthday. His insightful leadership, integrity, and selfless service to our nation continue to inspire confidence and unity.”


The Defence Minister further noted that Yilwatda’s leadership of the ruling party was crucial to promoting political stability and institutional harmony, which he described as essential pillars for strengthening national security and achieving sustainable national development.


Musa prayed that God would continue to grant the APC national chairman sound health, wisdom, courage and longevity to enable him contribute further to the development of the party, Nigeria and humanity.


The congratulatory message was signed by Leah Katung-Babatunde, Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Defence.
