Pope Leo XIV to Revisit Peru in November During Latin America Tour

Pope Leo XIV will return to Peru in November, marking an emotional visit to the country where he spent nearly two decades serving as a missionary and later as a bishop before his election as head of the Catholic Church.

The Vatican announced on Wednesday that the Pontiff will embark on an 11-day pastoral visit to Latin America from November 6 to 17, with stops in Uruguay, Argentina and Peru.

According to the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV will begin the tour in Uruguay, where he will be from November 6 to 8. He will then travel to Argentina for a three-day visit from November 8 to 11 before concluding the trip in Peru, where he is expected to remain from November 11 until November 17.

The visit to Peru is expected to be particularly significant, as it marks the Pope's first return to the South American nation since becoming leader of the Roman Catholic Church. During his years of ministry in Peru, he was widely known for his missionary work and pastoral leadership, earning deep ties with local Catholic communities.
