The Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Dr Adamu Abubakar Dabban, has received a Double Award of Excellence from two youth-focused organisations in recognition of his leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

The honours were conferred on Dabban by the Nigeria Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Governance and the Northern Youth Forum for Responsive Governance.

The organisations recognised the ARCN Executive Secretary for his leadership, commitment to good governance and efforts towards advancing agricultural development in the country.

According to a statement signed by the ARCN’s Public Relations Officer, Khadijat O. Ameen, the recognition reflects growing attention to leadership and institutional efforts aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s agricultural research and development ecosystem.

Receiving the awards, Dabban expressed appreciation to the organisations for the recognition, saying the honours would encourage him to remain committed to the responsibilities entrusted to him and the broader goal of advancing agricultural development.

The recognition comes as the ARCN continues to coordinate and promote agricultural research and development in support of Nigeria’s food security and agricultural priorities.
