Vows Renewed Commitment to National Security and Strategic Coordination


The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has received the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff and the three Service Chiefs during their maiden courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Defence, Ship House, Abuja.


Those in attendance included the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff, Major General W. Shaibu, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral I. Abbas and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal S. K. Aneke.


In a statement by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Minister, Mati Ali, the visit signified a renewed sense of purpose and collaboration within the defence sector, reflecting the Minister’s commitment to fostering unity, trust, and shared leadership among the nation’s military hierarchy.


The Minister emphasized that the new phase of synergy among the Service Chiefs would drive strategic coordination and strengthen efforts to protect Nigeria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.


He also reaffirmed that the Ministry, under the guidance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains dedicated to developing a unified security framework aimed at addressing emerging threats and advancing national stability.
