Customs PR Officers Emerge Best Graduating Students as 50 Complete NCCSC Senior Course 14/2026

Two officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Public Relations Unit have emerged top performers at the graduation of Senior Course 14/2026 of the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, with Chief Superintendent of Customs Ridwan Yusuf and Chief Superintendent of Customs Nuruddeen Sa’idu clinching the Overall Best and Second Best Graduating Student awards respectively.

The graduation ceremony, held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Ahmed Makarfi Hall of the College, marked the successful completion of the rigorous professional training programme by 50 officers of the Service.

The outstanding performance of the two Public Relations officers was one of the major highlights of the event, as their achievements underscored the growing role of effective communication, professionalism and strategic information management in modern Customs administration.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, who was represented by the Commander, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs Sulaiman Chiroma, congratulated the graduating officers for completing one of the Service’s most demanding training programmes.

DCG Chiroma urged the officers to demonstrate professionalism, discipline and commitment in the discharge of their duties, stressing the need for integrity and dedication in serving the nation.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. On behalf of the Comptroller-General of Customs, I urge you to remain mission-focused and continue to serve the nation with honesty, integrity and dedication,” he said.

Earlier, the Commandant of NCCSC Gwagwalada, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Duwoh Gaura, reaffirmed the College’s commitment to producing highly skilled officers in line with the vision of the Comptroller-General of Customs for a more efficient, technology-driven and professional Service.

The graduation ceremony further highlighted the commitment of the Nigeria Customs Service to continuous capacity building and the development of officers capable of responding effectively to emerging challenges in Customs operations and border management.

Ahead of the graduation, the College hosted a Regimental Dinner on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the NCCSC Hotel, Gwagwalada, in honour of the graduating officers. The event was attended by members of the NCS Management Team, senior officers and invited guests, with the Comptroller-General of Customs represented by DCG Sulaiman Chiroma.
