Parliament International School Graduates 179 Students, Charges Them to Uphold Good Conduct

Parliament International School has graduated 179 students across its Nursery, Primary and Secondary sections, with the school management charging the graduands to uphold discipline, good character and excellence as they advance to higher stages of their education and life pursuits.

The charge was given during the school's 23rd Graduation Ceremony, which drew parents, guardians, alumni, staff and other well wishers to celebrate the academic achievements of the students and the institution's commitment to quality education and character development.

Delivering his welcome address, the Principal of the school, Pius Khemeagie, congratulated the graduating students for successfully completing another phase of their academic journey. 

He described the occasion as a significant milestone and reminded the graduates that learning is a continuous process that comes with greater responsibilities.

He urged the students to remain disciplined and maintain good conduct wherever they find themselves, stressing that academic excellence must be complemented with integrity and sound moral values.

"As you step out into the wider world, let your conduct reflect the values instilled in you by this institution. 

"Be responsible ambassadors of Parliament International School and continue to pursue excellence in all that you do, He added.

Khemeagie noted that Parliament International School has continued to distinguish itself through its dedication to academic excellence, resilience, skills acquisition and the development of responsible citizens capable of making meaningful contributions to society.

According to him, the school's philosophy is centred on producing graduates who are not only academically sound but also equipped with practical skills, leadership qualities and ethical values needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.

A total of 179 students graduated during the ceremony, comprising 82 Senior Secondary School (SS3) students, 56 Junior Secondary School (JSS3) students, 25 Primary Six pupils and 16 Nursery Two pupils.

The colourful event featured cultural dances, musical performances, drama presentations and other displays by the graduating classes, as well as the presentation of certificates to the graduates amid applause from parents and guests.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating students, Miss Iman Kamfut expressed gratitude to the school's management and teachers for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence and moral upbringing.

She said the education and values imparted by the institution had prepared the graduating class to face future challenges with confidence and determination.

"The school has taught me so much and has prepared me to go into the world with confidence. I believe I am ready to build a better future for myself and make meaningful contributions to society," she said.

Another graduating student, Kelechi Onyekuro, commended the quality of education and mentorship received during his years at the school.

He noted that the knowledge, discipline and practical skills acquired had laid a solid foundation for future academic success and personal growth.

"I am grateful for everything I have learnt here. The lessons, guidance and encouragement from our teachers have given me the confidence that I can excel wherever I find myself," he said.

Parents and invited guests applauded the school's unwavering commitment to maintaining high educational standards while promoting moral values, leadership and entrepreneurship among its students.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Parliament International School, Abdullahi Kelwa, expressed appreciation to parents, guardians and invited guests for honouring the occasion and for their continued support towards the growth of the institution.

He prayed for God's continued guidance and blessings upon the school, urging it to remain steadfast in its mission of providing quality education. Kelwa also commended Hajiya Hadiza Abdullahi Yelwa for her dedication and contributions to the progress and development of the school.

The ceremony climaxed with the presentation of awards to outstanding students, goodwill messages, and photo sessions involving the graduates, their parents, teachers and other guests, as participants encouraged the graduating class to remain focused, disciplined and committed to lifelong learning.
