NAF personnel continue search and recovery operations at the site of the NAF 931 aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified search and recovery operations following the crash involving its ATR 42 aircraft, NAF 931, in Igbokoda, Ondo State.


The operation is being led and coordinated under the direction of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke.


In a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the CAS commended personnel involved in the recovery efforts for their dedication and professionalism.


Aneke also acknowledged the support of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ondo State Government, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun Corps, Hi-Tech Construction Company, local authorities, community leaders and volunteers.


He said the coordinated response demonstrated the strong spirit of inter-agency cooperation and collective national service in times of adversity.


The Chief of the Air Staff reaffirmed the NAF's commitment to conducting the recovery operation diligently and safely, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.


He assured the public that further updates would be provided as the search and recovery operation progresses, while expressing appreciation to Nigerians and other stakeholders for their solidarity, prayers and support.
